Meet Chico

To say that our new intern Chico Odeneal has a lot on his plate would be an understatement: in addition to his various screenwriting projects, he’s also a production assistant at Clackamas County Community Access Television, and a new dad to boot! We asked him a few questions to introduce himself.

When I’m not working at Potboiler, I spend my time…

…learning new techniques in editing,  camera operating, color correction and being efficient and professional.

The last movie/TV show that I absolutely loved was…

Movie: The Ballad of Buster Scruggs and Other American Tales. TV show: The Boys
And the last one that I totally hated was…
(movie)  DC Justice League (tv show) the romanoffs and any reality show that’s on tv. Lol
So far, I’ve learned the most about filmmaking through…

…experience on past Production sets and studies at Clackamas Community College. Although my latest experience with Potboiler has helped me see how organization and attention to detail enhances growth and stability in the filmmaking industry and I am excited and humbled by the experience of gaining more skills and knowledge.

The part of filmmaking that fascinates me the most is…

Editing and producing.  I never thought I would like being behind the camera because my start was in front of the camera as an actor. It is really fun and exciting to be hands in in the story telling and creating process of filmmaking, I can truly say there’s no turning back for me.

The next movie/video that I’m going to make is…

On The Rocks (Bartender). The pilot episode to my new tv series. As for a official movie I am in preparation to begin writing my first feature film “Blood For Love” (current working title)
In five years you’ll find me…
Answer: Producing for television. And continuing to Produce independent films.
